Hamburger Hafen Waltershof

This blog post goes out to all exile Hamburgers, to hose who long to be in this city or simply who preferred to stay in their warm beds on this cold morning. While watching the ships leaving and arriving at 12 degrees F, we tried to stay somehow warm. This time I didn’t sketch at all, because a fierce east wind just froze the fingers. Even though there wasn’t any ice on the water yet, we watched as the the water vapor rised in the air and turned orange by the sun. Elf dances between tons of steel.

    Der Hamburger Hafen bei mir zuhause! Welch eine Wonne! All die Erinnerungen kommen wieder hoch…
    im Rücken das dumpfe Rauschen von Hamburg…..dem Moloch…vor mir der Hafen !!!!!…
    irgendwo hämmert ein Presslufthammer…ein Signalhorn singt sein Lied… die Elbe gluckst leise vor sich hin..dumpf stampft ein Schiffsdiesel…eine Möwe kreischt…
    Sehnsucht…..
