In the course of the last year my sketchbook has reached a new significance for myself. With every new sketch I automatically experience a development, even though I might not be aware of that. The more I led go of a perfect end result in advance the freer I become. This is about taking risks and not being afraid of making mistakes. This has led to an unexpected development in my whole artistic being.
But this sketching led to a new inner looseness. I »don’t want anything« specific from my sketches than trying to depict something that has caught my eye. Sometimes this feels like a sen moment. This new inner looseness takes a great space in my soul and added a new mosaic stone in my personality as an artist and human being.
Sometimes I get mails from people who tell me how much they would like to sketch outside but are arfraid to do so. Take Eleanor Roosvelt who said: »Do one thing every day that scares you.« The rewards will come come most unexpected over time.
