The beautiful norwegian Hurtigroute ships are easily to recognize at their red line across the bow. The Harbor pilot has just embarked the cruise liner and will help to navigate on the last miles into the harbor.
Some readers have asked me if I now stop painting with pastels and solely switch to oils. No, not at all. Painting Plein Air with oils completes me as an artist. The technique I use in oils is much more loose and without so many details. In the studio with pastels this comes round again, because I don’t fiddle around so much more, at least at this pastel.
This goes into a group exhibition in the middle of January in Hamburg.
