I feel always incredeably lucky when I see a ship in the dockyard and can watch the worker doing their business.

    Werner

About me

Since mid-2023, I have turned to digital art. "Your pictures are different now, but better in terms of vibrancy ... it promotes the mental movie theater" writes one of my readers.

Everything I have created in painting now benefits me. It now comes together in digital art:
Composition and tonal values, opaque color application as in pastel, oil or gouache.
The play of light and shadow is still at the center of my naturalistic painting.

In digital painting, I use a pen that allows me to paint directly on an iPad. The pen gives me access to many digital brushes that differ in shape, texture and opacity. I can vary the size as I wish.
